Proyecto Tâmega- Español 16:00 - 17:00 (CET)
- Horario
The Masterclass will explain what the Tâmega Project consists of, developed by
Iberdrola on the Tâmega River located in the north of Portugal. It is a 100% greenfield project
made up of three hydroelectric projects, with a total installed power of 1,158 MW, of which
880 MW belong to the C.H. Gouvães, which is a pumping exploitation. The importance of
hydroelectric storage and its role as an essential element will be assessed to allow greater
integration of other renewable energy sources and to guarantee the decarbonization of the
electrical system. The challenges that the execution of a project of this magnitude and impact
on the ground has posed for the Iberdrola team will be analyzed. In this sense, special
emphasis will be placed on the environmental aspect and the programs carried out in this
regard
